Hamilton’s students get the chance to connect with careers

On Feb. 2, Hamilton hosted its annual Connect to Careers Job Fair at the FirstOntario Centre. Students attending Mohawk College, McMaster University, and Redeemer College were invited to attend the event, which took place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. With around 130 organizations and businesses and over 3,000 students, it was an opportunity to connect and network with individuals in local industries and businesses. Victoria Laszuk, district sales leader at PepsiCo said, “Attending today’s career fair is like a pre-screening, so if you make a good impression today, you really stand out against the other applicants.” Employers were at their stations ready to meet eager individuals who were ready to take on a job.
